Cartel has parted ways with Epic and inked a new multi-rights deal with Wind-Up. The band will release its future albums through Wind-Up, and the sale of all Cartel merchandise at on-line, retail, and touring points of sale will be handled by Wind-up Entertainment’s Pronto Merch.

Lookout for their 3rd album which is being eyed for an early 2009 release. The band will be also co-headline the Crocs Next Step Campus Tour later this summer alongside Yung Joc (RANDOM), which runs from Aug. 29 through Sept. 26.

This Chris Carrabba-led band’s latest album won’t be out until fall via Vagrant, but the artist believes “it has a vibrance that is suited for summertime.”

Dashboard plans to hit the road in support of the album later this year, but Carrabba has at least one other project on his mind, about which he declined to reveal details.

“If I can get these guys to actually all come into the room together on the same day, we’ll see what happens,” he says. “Right now, it’s only just a bit more than ‘in theory’ right now.”

And yes i’ll admit I’m a Dashboard Confessional fan.
